One Young World is a global nonprofit organization founded in 2009 by David Jones and Kate Robertson to empower young leaders to create positive social, economic, and environmental change. Headquartered in London, the organization brings together talented young people from more than 190 countries through its annual global summit, where they connect with world leaders, business executives, policymakers, and social entrepreneurs. One Young World's mission is to develop young leaders who are addressing the world's most pressing challenges, including climate change, education, human rights, health, peace, and sustainable development. Through scholarships, ambassador programs, and leadership initiatives, the organization continues to support a global network of young changemakers committed to building a more just, inclusive, and sustainable future.

One Young World's flagship scholarship, ensuring that remarkable young leaders from every country in the world are able to attend our annual Summit.

What does the Leading Scholarship include? 

Each scholar will receive: 

  • Full delegate access to the One Young World Summit in Cape Town.
  • Hotel accommodation between 2 and 6 November 2026.
  • Catering which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • The cost of travel to and from Cape Town. Note: your flight to Cape Town must leave from and return to the same airport.

Am I eligible? 

You are eligible for the Leading Scholarship if you:

  • Are between the ages of 18 - 35.
  • Have an evidenced commitment to delivering positive change.
  • Are addressing key local and/or global issues in your work.
  • Have a track record of generating impactful and innovative ideas.

We are not able to accept applications from those who will be aged under 18 at the time of the Summit.
